Friends of the Library Make the Difference

As Friends, we are the primary fundraisers for the Library. We promote the importance of the Library in our community, provide materials and equipment that the Library could not ordinarily purchase from its budget, sponsor enriching cultural programs, raise funds for special initiatives, and volunteer time to assist with projects. We conduct a book sale each spring and fall and coordinate the Library Fund Drive for the Youngstown Free Library Board of Trustees.

All proceeds directly benefit Library services, materials and resources. Our work is vital to the Library's success.

Fundraisers marked with an asterisk (*) are hosted by the Board of Trustees of the Youngstown Free Library. As governmental support has waned, the fundraising needs for the Library have become even more essential to keep our tiny library financially sustainable. The Board and the Friends both hold fundraisers to support the Youngstown Free Library.
